Day 1: We will pick you up directly from the entrance door of your hotel in Hurghada and drive you to Abydos. During our way you can already gain some impressions about the Egyptian landscape and settlements; of course, we will make stops whenever you need.

Abydos is one of the most ancient cities of Egypt and considered as one of the most valuable archaeological sites. Discover the Temple of Seti I with its well preserved, still partly colored reliefs, and have a look at the famous Abydos King List of the ancient kings who reigned before Seti. The List will start with Menes, the first pharaoh of the united Egypt, and end with Ramses I, Seti’s father. Except for some pharaohs that were to be banished from people’s memories, the list is considered to be a complete enumeration of Ancient Egypt’s rulers and therefore, a precious clue for Egyptologists.

After that we will visit the Osireion, a part of Pharaoh Seti I Temple, which was built to honor the god Osiris and, according to the myth, contained his head. Not far from Seti I‚s Temple you will see a temple built by his son Ramses II, not as well preserved, yet still interesting, as it shows the battles of this pharaoh, maybe the greatest and most powerful man in all the history of the Egyptian Empire, in detailed reliefs.

After lunch we will head to the second of the tour’s destinations: Dendera. It’s an impressive Ptolemaic temple, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, and one of the best-preserved sanctuaries all over Egypt.

We will take you to your hotel in Luxor, where you will be able to take your dinner and have some free time , You will spend the night at a 4-star hotel in Luxor

Day 2: We will take you from Luxor right from your hotel by a comfortable air-contitioned bus. Accompanied by a private English-speaking guide, you will visit Karnak Temple, the greatest example of worship in ancient history dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. It was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom till the Greco-Roman Kingdom times.

After lunch at a restaurant on the Nile, we will head to Luxor Temple. It was started by Amenhotep III in during the New Kingdom time and completed by Ramses II. King Ramses II was the most famous king in the 19th Dynasty. He ruled Egyptian Kingdom for about 67 years. The temple was dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu.

then transfer to discover the western part of the city , visit the Valley of Kings, which was used for burial of pharaohs. There are many famous kings buried in this valley. You will visit 3 tombs, except for the Tomb of King Tutankhamun.

we will move on to enjoy the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmos I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately from 1490 to 1469 BC). She was the only pharaonic woman in Ancient Egypt’s history.

In the end, we will take you back to your hotel in Hurghada.
