We will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Aswan by an air-conditioned bus. The way will take about 7 hours. Our programme will begin with visiting the Aswan Dam. This huge dam across the River Nile became one of the symbols of Egypt. Before going to the city, we will show you the museum under the open sky: ancient granite quarries of Aswan. Your guide will explain how Pharaonic Egypt gained these granite projects of its ambitious kings. Visualize the excellent work of ancient Egyptians, who transported these massive blocks of stone for incredible distances to the Pyramids in Giza, situated 700 kilometres to the north. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will head to the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. Then we will take you to Edfu to visit the majestic Temple of Horus, considered by many the best preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian myths, it was the place where the falcon-headed god Horus revenged the murder of his father Osiris by killing Seth. We will return to Marsa Alam late in the evening
