Moses Hora (2285 m height) has other names – Sinai and Horeb. According to the Hebrew legend there are two different mountains, two places where God descended to the earth. According to the Bible on Mount Sinai God gave Moses ten commandments carved on a stone slab.
The pilgrimage to the mountain began in ancient times and continues to the present. It is supposed that those who ascend to the mountain will be forgiven seven times.
On the way 5 short stops to relax where you can buy sweets, hot drinks, blankets or borrow them for temporary use (for a fee). Even at the summer summit it is very cold.

According to the legend – Catherine, who turned to Christianity. After baptism Jesus was in that dream, gave her a ring and called her bride. She refused to surrender the Christian faith, and Catherine was tortured for her body mysteriously disappearing. The monastery was renamed to honor this saint.
The monastery contains a dirty evergreen „burning shrub“ that grows only a few meters from the altar. You will also be there to learn more interesting information. Then you will be transfer back to Sharm El Sheikh destination.
