Saqqara Village Experience

• Handmade Carpet Factory:
  • Visit a Handmade Carpet Factory in Saqqara. Watch artisans at work and learn about the traditional methods used to create Egypt's famous carpets. You may even purchase one to take home as a souvenir.
• Saqqara School Visit:
  • Take a tour of a local school in the village of Saqqara, where you can learn about the educational practices in rural Egypt, as well as the community's culture and customs.

Drive South to Dahshur

• Bent Pyramid:
  • Drive south to Dahshur and explore the Bent Pyramid. This pyramid has a unique shape due to changes in the angle of construction, making it one of the most interesting and early pyramid designs.
• Red Pyramid:
  • Nearby is the Red Pyramid, also built by King Sneferu, which is one of the first successful attempts at creating a smooth-sided pyramid. It’s the third largest pyramid in Egypt and offers a unique opportunity to explore its interior.

Lunch

• Enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, offering a variety of Egyptian dishes.

Museum of Egyptian Civilization

• Museum Exploration:
  • After lunch, head to the Museum of Egyptian Civilization, which opened its doors fully in 2021 after partial openings starting in 2017. This state-of-the-art museum displays over 50,000 artifacts, and houses the famous 22 royal mummies, including those of Ramses II and Queen Hatshepsut. The museum’s collection spans from ancient Egypt to modern times, offering a comprehensive look at Egyptian history and culture.

Perfume Factory Visit

• Perfume Factory:
  • Visit a Perfume Factory, where you can learn about the ancient art of perfume-making in Egypt. Here, you’ll also have the chance to purchase some authentic Egyptian perfumes, made from the finest oils and fragrances.

Optional Activity:

• Nile Cruise or Old Cairo Tour
  • Depending on your interest and time, your guide will offer you an optional excursion:
    • A Nile Cruise, where you can relax on the river and enjoy the serene views.
    • Or, explore Old Cairo, which is home to historic sites like Coptic Cairo, the Hanging Church, and Islamic Cairo, which is rich in ancient mosques, markets, and architecture.

Evening Departure to Hurghada

• After the tour, you’ll be transferred to either the Cairo airport or a bus station for your journey to Hurghada.
