Departure
04:00 AM: Departure from the hotel by air-conditioned minibus. The journey to Luxor takes approximately 5 hours.
Karnak Temple
Upon arrival in Luxor, we will start our tour at the magnificent Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious complexes in the world. This site is home to countless ancient statues and monuments, all part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Colossi of Memnon
Next, we will stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two imposing statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III sitting on his throne. These colossal statues have been standing guard over the Nile for thousands of years.
Alabaster Workshop
We will then visit a local alabaster workshop, where you can observe artisans hand-making products from alabaster, a material famously used in ancient Egyptian statues.
Lunch
A break for lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Enjoy a delicious meal before continuing with the tour.
Valley of the Queens
After lunch, we will head to the Valley of the Queens, the burial site of queens from the New Kingdom period. This historic site is known for its beautifully decorated tombs and rich history.
Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
We will then visit the grand Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most impressive structures. The temple is known for its architectural beauty and its connection to one of the most powerful female pharaohs in ancient Egyptian history.
Optional Trip to Banana Island
For those interested, there is an optional trip to Banana Island. Here, you can explore a banana plantation, see crocodiles, and enjoy a small snack of freshly picked bananas and seasonal fruits.
Return to Hurghada
The planned return to Hurghada is at around 10:00 PM, after a full day of exploration.
